The Computer Operations diploma training program is designed to provide college students with job-related training in a variety of computer fields. Gwinnett College students will complete computer training courses relating to the various Microsoft Office applications relating to word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation creation. The Computer Operations diploma program also includes training in administrative office procedures and accounting.
Upon completion of the Computer Operations diploma program, college graduates will be able to seek entry-level positions as office administrators, accounting clerks, and document processors. Gwinnett College graduates from the Computer Operations diploma training program can transfer all of their course credits into the Associate of Science Degree in Business, Computer Information concentration, program and complete their associate degree in three additional quarters.
Your Computer Operations training classes will include the following topics.
- Office Procedures Course – training course in the proper handling of calls, paperwork, filing, taking messages, work safety, supply ordering, invoice processing, and customer interaction.
- Microsoft Word – an in-depth overview of word processing programs and component functions.

- Microsoft Access – instruction on database management systems for both small and large database deployments.

- QuickBooks Course – an in-depth understanding of an accounting software tool to manage customers, vendors, clients, inventory and finances. Computer operations students will learn how to track business sales, income, and expenses through QuickBooks.
